In Medias Res explores transformation, fragmentation, and the fluid conditions of embodiment. The title—“in the middle of things”—positions the work within a state of continual becoming, where images emerge without fixed origin or resolution.

Structured as a sequence of interrelated states—Song of Enid, Vestige, Vesperal, and Process—the book unfolds through porous thresholds rather than discrete chapters. Across these sections, the body appears in fragments and traces: gestures, garments, and fields of color that operate as partial languages. Meaning arises through relation—through proximity, repetition, and subtle variation—rather than through linear narrative.

The works are constructed through processes of layering, overprinting, and intervention, drawing from photographic and material archives. Surfaces hold multiple temporalities, blurring distinctions between image and object, presence and absence.

Conceived as a non-linear experience, the book invites intuitive navigation. Meaning is not fixed but assembled through perception, allowing each reader to move through a shifting field of images, where transformation remains ongoing and unresolved.
